Obesity Prevention

 The Early Childhood Obesity Prevention (ECOP) Initiative was established in the fall of 2015 by the University of Florida's College of Medicine. Hosting “Our Children Matter – Obesity Prevention”.

 

This organization has grown with additional members from the community Focusing on a target population of children ages (0-5)  primarily, but not limited to elementary school children.

Mission 

Our goal is to lead by example and create the culture of health within school communities. We want to empower youth and their families to develop lifelong healthy habits by ensuring the school environment that surround them provide and promote good health. Their future depends on it.
